Introduction
The Regional Community Airports Coalition of Canada (RCACC), formed in 2004, is an organization of airports and associations representing airports across Canada. At the current time 38 airports maintain direct membership status with RCACC, as well as a reciprocal membership agreement between Conseil des Aéroports du Québec (CAQ), with 59 members, and RCACC for a total representation of 97 airports and associations.
Mandate
RCACC is a national organization dedicated to promoting the viability of regional and community airports.
RCACC has been formed to provide a national voice for communicating to the Federal and Provincial Governments the economic, regulatory and operational issues affecting regional community airports. The coalition has developed committees composed of grass roots members to research and report on critical issues affecting the membership.
RCACC participates in CARAC meetings and will have a continuing dialogue with the Minister of Transportation and Transport Canada staff on a wide range of airport issues and legislation including Safety/Emergency requirements, Nav Canada level of service proposals, and other subjects of interest to regional community airports. RCACC is intent on bringing issues to the attention of decision-makers on a personal meeting basis and not solely on written correspondence to get the issues resolved. Membership Eligibility
Membership in RCACC is open to all regional and community owned certified airports and other non-National Airport System airports. Seeking to encompass those aerodromes/airports currently unrepresented by any national body, and operators of registered aerodromes are all encouraged to join RCACC.
Membership Fees
Membership fees can be found on the Membership Application Page and a continuing effort will be made in the future to keep membership fees reasonable and appropriate for the various levels of membership. |
